We encourage changes not only in one's parenting, but also in their personal walk with Christ and in their marriage. In fact, it's those changes that tend to result in the biggest transformations in your children by God's grace.

Change is not always easy. Real, significant changes often require sacrifice and a willingness to look honestly into our own hearts to see how well our lives line up with the word of God. Over the years of teaching and coaching Christian parents we've noticed a common attitude in those who gain the maximum benefit from our material.

We encourage attendees to pray these heart attitudes mark them at the outset of the conference.

It seems there is no shortage of parenting material out there, both from the Christian and secular points of view.

So what makes Parent Reform different?

1. We firmly believe…

"Godly parenting flows from the hearts of the parents, though the marriage into the hearts of the children".

We are not simply about "fixing those kids" while leaving the parents, their marriage, and home out of the conversation. We truly believe few parents would actually be satisfied having "obedient, good kids" while their marriage and home life is a shambles. Looking to correct the children alone is tempting since, without training, they tend to be the loudest squeaking wheel in the home.

Instead, our approach begins with each parent's personal relationship with God in Christ. We then move on to the biblical pattern and purpose of marriage. One of the purposes of marriage is to produce godly offspring. That purpose does not supplant or preempt our personal walk with Christ or the other purposes of marriage. Rather, it enhances them all by providing increased capacity for loving and serving God and others to better fulfill the royal law (James 2:8, Matthew 22:36-40) as individuals, a couple, and as a family.

2. We go beyond vision and encouragement with lots of "how"

We certainly cast a biblical vision in our material as we teach parents the "what and whys" of marriage and parenting. We inspire and motivate but we do not stop there leaving parents wondering, "Great, I'm motivated to make changes, but how do we do it and where do we start?!"

That's why we believe it is essential to also teach parents the "how". We do this by giving many personal illustrations drawn from our experiences raising eight children as well as from years of coaching and observations.

3. We boldly and clearly teach biblical child training, chastening, and discipleship

Our testimonials and feedback consistently report this is some of our most impactful and differentiating material. It seems fewer and fewer are willing to teach on these biblical aspects of parenting because of societal pressures rooted in a fundamental misunderstanding of man's condition and his relationship to God. There is also a great deal of misunderstanding about these aspects of parenting.

Clear, biblical teaching on child training, chastening, and discipleship is so very needed today. Too many Christian homes are suffering and in disarray because this has all but vanished from Christian teaching and practice.

4. We interact
